Fax by email
Email a document to the recipient number at our fax address and we deliver it as a fax.
Searchable archive
Every sent and received fax is stored, searchable and exportable.
Proof of delivery

API for your software
Send and receive faxes from your own systems with a simple REST API.
Less risk than a machine in the hallway
A paper fax machine prints patient and client details into an output tray anyone can reach. A fax line costs money every month whether you use it or not, and the machine needs paper, toner and repair.
Faxy delivers incoming faxes to named people, keeps them in an access controlled archive and logs who opened what. Transmission and storage are encrypted, and the Enterprise plan includes a business associate agreement.
How Faxy supports HIPAA workflows| Fax machine | Faxy | |
|---|---|---|
| Dedicated phone line | Required | Not needed |
| Paper and toner | Every fax | None |
| Who sees a document | Whoever walks by | Named users only |
| Record of access | None | Logged |
| Archive | Filing cabinet | Searchable |

Fax from your own software in a few lines
Send a document, then read the status and receipt from the same API. Examples below show the shape of a request.
curl https://api.faxy.pl/v1/faxes \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $FAXY_KEY" \ -F to="+15550100199" \ -F [email protected]
import os, requests
r = requests.post(
"https://api.faxy.pl/v1/faxes",
headers={"Authorization": "Bearer " + os.environ["FAXY_KEY"]},
data={"to": "+15550100199"},
files={"file": open("referral.pdf", "rb")},
)
print(r.json()["status"])
const form = new FormData();
form.append("to", "+15550100199");
form.append("file", new Blob([await fs.readFile("referral.pdf")]), "referral.pdf");
const res = await fetch("https://api.faxy.pl/v1/faxes", {
method: "POST",
headers: { Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.FAXY_KEY}` },
body: form,
});
console.log((await res.json()).status);
